Explanation:
this game was made for ludumdare, a competition where you have to make a game in 48 hours, and has to comply with a theme (which in this case was 'minimalist' ).

I finished way ahead of time because I couldnt think of anything cool for the theme. :(

the first game I made was the most minimal possible [link] , and then I started working on a platformer engine with fancy superpixelated graphics dynamically made from vector shapes, which ended up super laggy, so I ditched it and worked on this. :)

I like this, but its a little too simple graphic wise. But i guess it should be if its minimal. :)

not a bad score at all, and I think a 20 sec learn time is pretty good, I deliberately left the instructions minimal to comply with the game theme :)

ya, alot of my game ideas were 'make game X, with cool pixel graphics' but like you say, it had to be minimal :(
